Climate Action Network Europe is looking for a Campaigns and Mobilisation Network Coordinator - Funding Fairer Futures
Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe is Europe’s leading NGO coalition fighting dangerous climate change. We are a unique network, in which environmental and development organisations work together to issue joint lobby campaigns and maximise their impact. With over 200 m ember organisations active in 40 European countries, representing over 1,700 NGOs and more than 40 million citizens, CAN Europe promotes sustainable climate, energy and development policies throughout Europe.
CAN Europe is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Campaigns and Mobilisation Network Coordinator who can deliver Campaigning, Training and Mobilisation coordination under a specific EU funded project (Funding Fairer Futures), connecting it to the wider CAN Europe work and strategy, through intersectional and climate justice lens.
The DEAR project ‘Funding Fairer Futures’ will bring together a consortium to broaden engagement and empowerment for inclusive and gender-transformative climate justice in Europe and be yond. The project aims to drive deeper engagement in our work through direct funding, and capacity building including organisational development, joint and independent communication, and campaign and mobilisation work. This work will be channeled through the respective networks of the consortium (all engaged CAN Europe members) down to grassroots organisations and movements emphasizing the need to properly engage the Network in the Funding Fairer Futures Project and ensure the project serves wider CAN Europe’s objectives and very particularly the advancement of our Vision and Strategy (here).
This position will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to be at the center of the largest movement for global change that will affect people and the planet for centuries to come. The Campaigns an d Mobilisation Network Coordinator -Funding Fairer Futures- will play an important and traversal role in CAN Europe’s team.
Applicants should be well experienced in co-designing and delivering European-distributed campaigns that bring together NGOs and grassroots -including at the national/local level-, and in strategizing around mobilisation. They should also bring along an intersectional lens into their way of working, and feel comfortable and knowledgeable in operating in a climate justice framework.

How to apply:
This position is preferably based in Brussels but is also open to applicants from the European Union or those already holding a residence and a work permit. We are not considering sponsoring visas this time.
Remuneration is based on our Belgian salary grid and adapted to the cost of living on location.
If the position is based at our head office in Brussels, we will offer a Belgian open-ended
contract with an expected salary of between 3440 and 4785 EUR gross/month (full time equivalent), depending on the years of relevant experience (from 0 to 20 years) and subject to Belgian taxes.
